Mission & Ethos
Line of Sight is currently a solo practice. When I say "we," I'm referring to the work that happens between therapist and client.
Our Mission
Line of Sight exists to provide therapy via grounded, thoughtful spaces for individuals and groups to examine identity, relationship, and meaning. We are committed to clear language, psychological rigor, and human connection, and we approach our work with respect for lived experience over assumption, with candor, and with an emphasis on understanding before reassurance or change.
Our Ethos
Line of Sight refers to seeing clearly what is already present. This is where change begins. We work within the limits of human perspective, attending to lived experience, relational dynamics, and the meanings people make as they move through the world.
We value clarity over certainty, honesty over performance, and responsibility over prescription. We also value genuine emotion over stoicism, and uncertainty over false confidence. We do not offer answers, ideologies, or optimized selves. We offer careful attention, thoughtful dialogue, and spaces where people can orient themselves more truthfully to their lives and relationships.
"We" means clinician and client.

Our Ethos

This isn’t about answers or optimization. It’s about careful attention, real dialogue, and learning to orient more truthfully to your life and relationships.
How I Work
I'm a Marine Corps veteran and licensed therapist. I grew up in a working class family in a small town. I'm a husband and dad. I know firsthand that life is messy and that "perfect" isn't a realistic goal. My background informs my work but doesn't define it. I approach therapy and group facilitation with psychological rigor, respect for complexity, and a commitment to honesty over comfort.
Theoretical Foundation
My clinical lens is shaped by Existentialist, Person-Centered, and Interpersonal Process theories of practice. This means we focus on how you actually relate to others and yourself, examine the choices you're making, and work toward clarity about what you value and why.
What You Can Expect
Therapy here is grounded in straight talk. This is a collaborative approach where you're treated as capable of doing hard work, not as someone who needs to be handled carefully. This is not about being harsh, it's about being precise. Directness and emotional safety coexist here. Tears and problem solving are equally welcome tools. We work on what matters to you without unnecessary jargon or performative empathy.
Our work isn't about making you feel good in the moment. It's about building genuine self-awareness and relational skills that hold up when things get difficult. I don't provide a cure, I provide a rigorous clinical process. I will be in your corner, which means I will be compassionate enough to tell you the truth and hold you accountable to the version of yourself you want to be.
I’m a licensed therapist and Marine veteran who approaches therapy with clarity, directness, and respect for complexity. This is collaborative work grounded in honesty, not performance.
I treat clients as capable of doing hard things. We focus on how you relate, the choices you’re making, and what actually matters to you. Emotional safety and straight talk coexist here.
This work isn’t about quick relief or perfect answers. It’s about building self-awareness and relational skills that hold up when life gets difficult.

Grief Group
Who This Is For
This group helps participants express and explore emotions related to their experiences of bereavement. It is open to people who have had a loved one die. It combines sharing, discussion, support, and activities. This group maintains our commitment to honest exploration, but in a format designed specifically for the unique terrain of bereavement.
This group is for people grieving the death of a loved one who want a grounded, honest space to share, reflect, and make sense of loss together. It’s not about fixing grief. It’s about having room to carry it.
What We Explore
- Remembrance of our loved one
- How grief works: myths, facts, and the brain
- Identity, self-awareness, and responsibility after loss
- Emotions of grief
- Connection across experiences
- Moving forward with grief
- Remembering and honoring loss
- How grief affects mind and body
- Identity and responsibility after loss

The Format
Small groups of 6-8 participants. Once the group is established, it remains the same members until the end of the group's cycle (10 weeks).
The group meets weekly over Zoom from 7:00-8:30pm on Saturdays. This time is intentionally chosen to provide a quiet, uninterrupted space after the week's noise has settled. We conclude each session with a focus on grounding to ensure you can transition effectively into your evening. Please do your best to have a working camera as seeing one another's faces helps us better relate to one another.
Groups of 6-8 for 10 weeks on Saturdays from 7:00-8:30pm. This time is intentional. Have a working camera, if possible.
